1. Submit files formatted in Macintosh in the following software: QuarkXPress 6.0, Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign (Versions 3.0.1), and/or high resolution PDF. Color image, color and grayscale images with at
least 300 dpi. Black and white images with at least 1200 dpi all in CMYK.
2. Submit a proof with all the pertinent information. Color prints should be included with all jobs. Make notes on any laser proofs; clarify color, placement of images, and any other pertinent information.
3. Label all computer discs with: file names, company name, telephone number, publication name and issue. Please back up all files before sending disks to us, we reserve the right to delete or overwrite any disks given to us. All layout file names that are needed for publishing must be written completely on an instruction sheet.
4. You must include screen and printer fonts for each postscript font used. Be sure to include the fonts contained in your EPS files. Truetype or multiple master fonts are not acceptable. Do not create stylized fonts using the measurements palette. Use the actual italic, bold, etc. versions of the font.
5. When creating document pages make sure to use the correct page size. Example 1: If final print job size is going to be 8.25 x 10.75 do not include bleed in page size. You should make page 8.25 x 10.75 then extend bleed 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) over edges of page.
6. All photo images must be saved in CMYK or Grayscale mode containing no alpha channels, no file compressions, no masks and no layers. Place images at 100% scaling with 300 dpi. Line work bitmap scans (logos) should have 1200 dpi resolution.

FTP Instructions: To send materials via our FTP site, log onto www.cpa-mpa.com and request an account by clicking the “Log-in” button. A username and password will be sent to you via e-mail along with instructions for upload. This username and password can also be used for all future submissions.
Please double check all files copied to the CD ROM, by trying to open them from the disk. Use virus software to scan all disks supplied.
